at Cancun Eats

At Cancun Eats we always think hospitality industry being more sustainable and ethical. We all need to do our part to help keep New Zealand (and the planet) clean and green.So we're committed to making our restaurant more sustainable and ethical with food, liquor and our operations. 


We're constantly reviewing ways we can improve sustainability practices in our business,
from our suppliers to our restaurants, and even to your door with our recyclable and compostable take-away packaging.


Liquor

We have included local wines in our menu such as Cloudy Bay, Hunters, Spy Valley, Gibson Bridge, Allan Scott, Fromm and Saint Clair. Mostly are family business or business with family values that are always committed about the people, planet, community and future generations. 

Food

We Source our food from Bidfood, Trent’s who work with local growers and suppliers to provide fresh ingredients for our menu. Our tortilla comes from Farah’s wellington who support a number of community events, they give generously to many schools and charities in New Zealand every year by donating wraps and tortillas.

Beer

Local Beer brand like Stein lager beer believe in taking accountability for the environmental impact of their products and are proud to be New Zealand’s first major beer brand to achieve Toitu net carbon zero certification. Our Tap beers are from Renaissance brewery Blenheim who are committed to using local ingredients and are one of the pioneers of craft brewing in New Zealand.

Oil

Our used cooking oil is collected and goes into production of bio-diesel - a renewable fuel source that helps fight global warming.
